Pay It Forward

Southern Utah is one of the greatest places in the world to live, and we are fortunate to call it our home.  It is here that we have had the pleasure of growing our funeral home since 2008.  Our community is very important; therefore, we created the Serenity Pay It Forward Account.

Losing a child is arguably one of the most difficult trials a family can endure, and we want to help.  The Serenity Pay It Forward Account is designed to assist families who have lost a child due to an accident, illness, or other tragedy.  We heavily discount or donate our professional service fees, but outside funeral costs add up quickly. Other expenses include obituaries, flowers, caskets, vaults, cemetery property, headstones, etc.  We created our Serenity Pay It Forward Account to help ease the family’s financial burden.

Community members have the opportunity of participating in two ways – by rounding up a funeral bill or through a memorial donation.  Each donation is placed in our Pay It Forward Account.  Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah will match every donation up to $100.  We distribute these funds on an individual basis.  Every donation matters regardless of size.  

It is said that the hardest part of losing a child is living everyday afterwards.  Our Serenity Pay It Forward Account is designed to provide financial assistance in the devastating wake of this type of loss.  In the words of Charles Dickens, “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
